Small and light: The portable Hangar
DJI Dock 3 weighs just 55 kg and, with dimensions of 64 x 75 x 77 cm, is compact and easy to handle. Dock 3 also supports mobile installation on a vehicle for the first time. For this purpose, the structure, components, and cooling system have been optimized, and features such as horizontal calibration and cloud-based location calibration have been added.
DJI Dock offers outstanding capabilities and cloud-based smart features: For example, FlightHub 2 allows you to create highly precise 3D models. This allows drones to be programmed to automatically adjust their camera angle to capture the same area on subsequent flights.
The Mini Hangar can be programmed to perform flight missions automatically, while still allowing control of the flight and gimbal angle from anywhere. Thanks to the internal and external fisheye lenses, conditions inside and outside the dock are captured in real time, allowing the operator to remotely observe weather, environmental, takeoff, and landing situations. The drone’s battery can be wirelessly charged in the hangar in no time.
The DJI Matrice 4D/4TD was specifically designed for the DJI Dock 3. Equipped with both a telephoto camera and a wide-angle camera with a mechanical shutter, the Matrice 4D SeriesD meets the requirements for high-precision mapping tasks. The Matrice 4D/4TD’s surround-vision system combines rotating LiDAR and millimeter-wave radar technology, enabling precise obstacle avoidance with an accuracy of 12 mm at speeds of up to 15 m/s, as well as improved positioning in low-light conditions.
With just under 50 minutes of flight time and obstacle detection, it is perfectly suited for tasks with the Dock 3.
DJI Dock 3 can operate continuously even in harsh climates and environments. It is dust and waterproof to IP55 standards and can detect weather changes in real time thanks to measurements of precipitation, wind speed, and temperature. With DJI FlightHub 2’s online weather forecasts, timely alerts are sent and flight missions can be terminated if necessary.
