Plant cultivation & trial management:
geo-konzept at the Technikertagung in Hanover.

Every year at the end of January, one of the most important events specifically for crop research takes place in Hanover: the DLG Technical Conference, called “Technikertagung”. Over 800 participants from all over Germany and neighboring countries find both technical innovations and software solutions for crop evaluations here.

As in previous years, geo-konzept will again have its own booth at 2026 to present our systems: In plot trials and seed breeding, our hardware and software solutions are used to record a wide variety of characteristics in different crops, including through the use of state-of-the-art sensors and drones. This allows for the precise, semi-automated recording and easy processing of the exact properties of plants, stands, and plots that are most relevant to your research question. This year, the main focus is on DJI Dock, which enables the autonomous planning and execution of recurring flights, particularly in experimental settings, as well as on our in-house software, miniGIS.

In addition to the trade fair, the DLG Technical Conference will feature over 30 expert presentations showcasing innovations, ideas, and developments. The wide range of presentations covers both practical and organizational aspects. The conference is therefore aimed at all those involved in agricultural field trials – from agricultural technicians and plant technologists to station managers.

The DLG Technikertagung will take place on January 27 and 28, 2026, in Hanover – further information about the event can be found here.
