Earthquakes, forest fires, floods: Wherever disasters strike, rapid and efficient aid is needed.

The international division of the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) is there precisely for this purpose: Daniel Lorenz’s team sets off as soon as support is required abroad. They travel with all their equipment to quickly establish their own operations center on-site, from which they can conduct operations and accurately assess the situation.

From now on, emergency responders can gain a comprehensive overview of disaster areas even faster, because the THW’s newest team member is an aerial helper: the Trinity Pro from Quantum Systems. “We’ve been working with fixed-wing aircraft for some time now, comparing different systems, and with the Trinity Pro, we’ve reached a point where we can move forward effectively,” says Daniel Lorenz from THW International.

Whether deployed in disaster areas or for other applications, a fixed-wing drone can cover large areas, document them with centimeter-level accuracy, and transmit the footage live to the operations center. See the complete video story here.
